Discusses the relationship between water and turf quality, and the factors which affect water use in turf irrigation (the plant, the soil, and the weather). Describes the "best" way to irrigate turfgrass, including water amount per irrigation and irrigation frequency (including strategies to determine when irrigation is necessary). Displays a tabular guide for gallons of irrigation which should be applied depending on water savings desired (high, medium, low), month, and root depth. |
