Sound Playback System Requirements

Successful playback of sound over the Internet depends largely on computer and connection speeds. Performance may also be affected by network bandwidth and congestion. A Pentium class computer with a 56kb/s modem or better works best. You will also need the designated QuickTime or RealMedia player applications available at the links below:

WINDOWS: QuickTime 4 or better • A Pentium-based PC or compatible computer • At least 32MB of RAM • Windows 95/98/NT/ME/2000/XP system software • A Sound Blaster or compatible sound card and speakers • DirectX version 3.0 or later recommended

MAC: A PowerPC processor–based Macintosh computer • At least 32MB of RAM • Mac OS 7.5.5 or later

RealPlayer

Minimum System Requirements:

WINDOWS: RealPlayer G2 or better • 120MHz Intel Pentium processor or equivalent • 16MB of RAM • 28.8Kpbs modem • 16-bit sound card and speakers • 65,000-color video display card (video) • Windows* 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows ME (final release version only), Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 4 or Windows XP • IE 4.0.1 or Netscape 4.0 or later

MAC: Mac* OS 8.1 or later • 32 MB RAM • Virtual Memory turned on, set to 64MB • 604 PowerPC* (200 MHz or better) • 28.8Kpbs modem • Internet connection • Browser support: Microsoft* Internet Explorer* 4.01 or later or Netscape* 4.05 or later
