This talking box was created as a tribute to the author of these words, Chan K'in viejo, patriarch of the Lacandon Maya, who died the 23rd of December of 1996 at the age of 116. --Colophon. The box and papers inside it were made by Mayan women using pansy flowers and renewable fibers from the rainforest, such as banana trunks, pineneedles, oak leaves, ferns, corn husks, lichen, vines and palm fronds ... --Colophon.
