Description:

Poems. Typescript and drawings mimeographed on individual and folded leaves of coarse brown and white papers, stapled at left margin and glued to black tissue-paper endpapers. Upper endpaper is decorated with mounted paper cutouts laced with a cord. Lower endpaper is glued to waste paper and then to brown paper wrappers, which fold over spine and fore-edge and open in center of front (a u fold). Wrappers are illustrated with collages of painted and decorated papers, leaves from a plant or bush, and other organic matter (the colophon says coffee grounds and fish scales), and tie with yarn. Part of a collection of handmade books, most with cords for hanging (literatura de cordel), published by Ediciones Vigía under the auspices of the Cuban Ministry of Culture.
