Advertisement for Colgate Ribbon Dental Cream includes a comic strip featuring “Helen West” and how Colgate improved her love life. In the first panel, two men in tuxedoes watch Helen dance with another man. “Tom Blake” declares his interest in her. His friend alludes to a problem that is not apparent from her appearance. In the next two panels Helen and her friend lounge in their lingerie and discuss the evening. Helen’s friend recommends that she a dentist for her breath problem. In the next panel, Helen’s dentist advises her to use Colgate. Helen, in a revealing night gown, brushes her teeth with Colgate and finds her mouth fresh and clean. The final panel shows Tom and Helen getting married. Also includes photographs of a woman who resembles the cartoon Helen West and of two dentists, and a drawing of a tube of Colgate.
