The Janet A. Ginsburg Chicago Tribune Collection

Before suffrage and after

Two panels depict a couple's breakfast routine before and after women's suffrage. The first panel depicts a couple having breakfast, with the man reading a newspaper and his wife asking: "what's so interesting." The second panel shows a woman walking and reading the newspaper as her husband carries the breakfast to the table and tells her that breakfast is ready.
