In this cartoon by Carl Ed entitled “Absent-Minded Professor”, the title figure has umbrella problems: he leaves it on an elevator; in a down storm he uses his cane instead of the umbrella, and puts himself in an umbrella stand while his umbrella rests on a dining room chair.
