Big Bertha's anniversary : this shell wrecked a subway tube

A huge shell crater is in the median of a Parisian street. It was made by the German long range cannon, the Krupp "WilhelmGeschutz" (commonly known as Big Bertha). The shell apparently hit a subway tunnel. Several men (at least one policeman) stand around the crater. Several bicycles are parked nearby. Onlookers form a rectangle at least four ranks deep about fifty feet from the crater.
