Lucky Strike (American Tobacco Company)

Advertisement for Lucky Strike cigarettes features a main image of American actress Constance Bennett on the set of the film, "Merrily We Live." Ms. Bennett is in a scene where she does leg lifts on the floor of a living room while talking on the phone. A film crew is in the background. There is also a five panel comic strip. The first two panels are close-ups of Ms. Bennett talking on the phone. The third panel shows Ms. Bennett relaxing and smoking with fellow actor Dick Powell and another man. The fourth panel has Ms. Bennett in an evening gown listening to a large wood cabinet radio. The fifth panel shows “independent tobacco expert” Harry R. King examining a tobacco leaf with two men. All three are in suits and broad brimmed hats. Also pictured is a package of Lucky Strike cigarettes.
