Musick--air pioneer : Capt. Edwin C. Musick
Pan American Airways’ Chief Pilot Edwin C. Musick is greeted in Auckland, New Zealand by Imperial Airways’ Captain J. W. Burgess, commander of the flying boat Centaurus of Imperial Airways. The two men wear their respective airlines’ uniforms: dark coats and white peaked hats. Three men in the background look on. Shortly after this photo was taken, Musick and his crew were killed in a plane crash near Pago Pago, Samoa.
