Lovejoy - martyr to freedom of press : a bit of Colby College campus
The Elijah P. Lovejoy commemorative hearthstone boulder sits on the Colby College campus. Lovejoy was an abolitionist newspaper editor who died defending his printing press from a pro-slavery mob.
