Hitler defends sanguinary "purge" of Germany
Adolf Hitler, wearing a Nazi Party uniform, speaks at a podium in the German Reichstag (Parliament). He defends his elimination of rivals and enemies, known as “The Night of the Long Knives.” His audience is a mixture of men in civilian clothes and uniformed SA (Sturmabteilung or storm troopers), SS Schutzstaffel), and German military.
