Lucy Fools the Buglar

This cartoon advertisement for Grape-Nuts by General Foods shows a little girl, Lucy, dog-sitting for Mrs. Stockbond, a rich older women. Lucy thwarts the burglar Dan the Driller from stealing Mrs. Stockbond's pearl necklace. The thief chases Lucy who leads him to the house of her Uncle Matt, a policeman. Dan takes the burglar into custody. In the last two panels Mrs. Stockbond promises a $500 reward to Lucy and asks the girl "...where did you get that energy?" Lucy replies that it came from a diet of Grape Nuts cereal.
