Lifebuoy

Advertisement for Lifebuoy Health Soap includes a photograph of Miss Rosamond E. Bowen of West Newton, Massachusetts, an “office hostess.” She also appears in a small comic extolling the benefits of using Lifebuoy. In the first panel, in her role as secretary/hostess, Miss Bowen interacts with an older man wearing a suit holding a hat and overcoat. The second panel shows a shower-capped Miss Bowen in the shower using Lifebuoy. The third panel has a still-capped Miss Bowen explaining the inadequacies of other brands of soap. In the last panel, Miss Bowen has taken off her cap and dries herself with a towel. There is also a photo of a box of Lifebuoy.
