The lesson he never learns

An image labeled "The Armistice – 1918," depicts an anthropomorphic globe (world) in tattered clothes, bloodied and bandaged, throwing a bloody sword into a garbage can that contains other weapons and helmets. A house and several graves can be seen in the background. A second image, "1927," shows the anthropomorphic globe, dressed in a suit and top hat, taking weapons and helments (militarism, intrigue, hatred, trade jealously, competitive armaments) out of the garbage.
