Two birds with one shot

This cartoon celebrates the recent electoral defeat of extremists on both sides of the Prohibition question. A middle-aged bespectacled, mustachioed hunter labeled "Voter" points to two dead crows ("Extreme Wets of Detroit" and "Extreme Drys of Ohio) and declares "I aimed in between 'em!" His shotgun is marked "Moderation" and the smoke coming from its barrel is labeled "November Election."
