Sketches of the news

Four scenes from the news depict a variety of topics. A man (tax payer) sits on a upholstered rocking chair listening to a song (Mellon's tax reduction) on a record player, as he comments, "Gosh, I never git tired of hearin' Andy!" Chicago Mayor Bill Thompson stands in a circus ring wearing a Revolutionary War general's uniform holding a hoop (Big Bill's Circus) and a whip. Next to him a small dog with a fake lion hair collar sits on a stool (British lion). In the background, the public seems uninterested and leaving the circus. A third image, shows a steaming teapot (Teapot Dome Oil case) with the steam labeled as "jury bribery charges." The fourth image depicts a football scene with a football player (Chicago) carrying the ball and running through (reappotionment fight) opposing players (down state).
