Waning popularity

These two cartoons emphasizes the Anti-Saloon League waning popularity with the major political parties. In the first, "A Few Years Back," the Republican Elephant and the Democratic Donkey, dressed as bellhops, race each other to take Mr. Prohibition's (a sour-looking man wearing a top hot, bow tie, & frock coat and carrying an umbrella) bags (labeled Anti-Saloon League Support). In the second, "---And Now," the two bellhops flee from Mr. Prohibition with the Donkey saying "Gangway," and the Elephant shouting "Stay Away From Me!" An odorous skunk is at Mr. Prohibition's feet.
