Sketches of the news

Five scenes from the news depict a variety of topics. The first image, "Crowned" shows Prince Carol of Romania touching a bump on his head after being hit by a brick (from Roumania). The second image, "Don't Loose Him Uncle!" shows Uncle Sam fishing in a row boat, he has hooked a large fish wearing a hat (our trade with China) and is trying to untangle his fishing line, while a net (American diplomacy) sits on the side unused. The third image, "Helping Us With Our Crime Problem," depicts two criminals (rival gangsters) shooting at each other while using grave stones (crook, thug, con man, and gangster) as cover. A fourth image, "Shadow Boxing. A Fight He Can Never Win," depicts boxer Jack Dempsey under a spotlight and looking at his shadow (his war record) reflected on the wall.
