A record hatch

A bald eagle (U.S.) wearing a top hat similar to that of Uncle Sam's, smiles at his hatched birds flying (the eagle's brood 1927). The birds resamble monoplanes and are labeled as Byrd (Richard E. Byrd), Maitland (Lester J. Maitland), Lindy (Charles Lindbergh), and Chamberlin (Clarence D. Chamberlin).
