The fight at the switch

A group of men are involved in a fight (politicians, bond-holder, and traction magnates) right next to a railroad track (end of old franchise) split into multiple tracks (interminable franchise, municipal ownership, new 20 years franchise, Lisman Plan, and receivership). In the background, a streetcar approaches and the conductor (Father Dearborn) waves at the fighting men.
