Our channel swimmers
Three panels depict the state of American politics. In the first image the G.O.P. elephant floats calmly on the waves (rising tide of American prosperity) of the "political channels" towards the "November elections," while the Democratic donkey struggles to swim. The second image depicts Mr. Dry (drys) swimming through rough waters (opposition to dry tyranny). The third image depicts a man (World Court Senator) running out of the water towards the U.S.A., trying to escape a couple of sharks (political defeat) eating people.
