The prison door seems to open easier than it closes

Dozens of men (12 jurors, 12 grand jurors, judge, and prosecution attorney) push against the door to a prision cell trying to keep a man (crook) inside. In the nex scene, one man (his friends) easily opens the door and the man steps out carrying a piece of paper (parole).
