Gator Tails
The Preservation Department keeps a supply of "gator tails" that may be of use to departments that have water leaks or spills. A gator tail is a water absorbent sock that can be laid on the floor or at the source of a leak to contain it. The sock is 36 inches long and 3 inches wide. They are particularly useful for "wicking out" water underneath book stacks, and will contain a spill or incoming water.
